Hello everyone! It has been a wild spring to say the least. We sincerely hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy in the midst of everything going on in the world today. We are truly grateful that golf has been able to be an escape for us all and we appreciate the overwhelming support we are seeing in terms of the levels of play and cooperation with ever changing and often confusing guidelines.
We wanted to take a minute to give an update on the current status of the entire operation as we head into summer. Other than for a short 9 days in April (most of which were horrible weather) the course has been open and play has been allowed throughout. Early on the carts were a go, then they weren’t, now they are again but with single riders unless same household. The driving range wasn’t allowed to be open until we got to Phase 1 a couple weeks ago.
As of late last week we are allowed to seat and serve people outside! Following the new guidelines put out by NYS on Thursday afternoon we are able to seat 57 people on our deck and we have overflow seating set up below the deck as well.
The rules are as follows:
Parties sitting at the same table DO NOT have to be from the same household and DO NOT have to wear a mask while seated. It is recommended to keep a face covering on if you are not eating or drinking however. Also when not seated and moving about the deck and/or restaurant you MUST wear a mask. You still must wear a mask to come into the building as well. There is no food or drink to be consumed inside. We are hopeful that Phase 3 will begin as planned in roughly a week or so to allow indoor dining as well. Please do not move the tables as they must remain 6′ apart at all times.
Chef Rose has been busy putting together a limited menu and a starter staff to get us going outside for this coming week, a copy of the menu is attached. Beverage service will be limited to bottles and cans until we are able to fully stock the draft beer and liquor which should be ready by 6/15.
We are very excited to expand our offerings beyond the snack bar and no longer ask that you play and leave like we have for so long. Please take some time to support our restaurant operations as we get them back off the ground finally. Chef Rose is fantastic and her food throughout the season will be great, you don’t want to miss it!
Outside of the regular menu, if you are a fish fry fan Rose will have the best fish fry around and we plan to start that up on Friday 6/19. Stop in, you will not be dissapointed!
We are so grateful for your support as we have worked our way through a challenging spring. The weather is great, the course is in outstanding condition and now the restaurant will complete the experience. Thank you for your patronage and we look forward to giving everyone the complete SRGC going forward.
