GROUNDS MAINTENANCE
Sunset Ridge Golf Club (Marcellus, NY) is seeking a hardworking, dedicated, team-oriented grounds crew member for the 2026 season. Hours can be part time through full time as desired. Pay is $16-$20 per hour D.O.E. The selected candidate will work in a fast-paced outdoor environment to maintain our championship-standard course conditions. Shifts are typically early morning to early/mid-afternoon, including weekend and holiday mornings as needed.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:

Mowing and Grooming: Operate riding mowers to maintain greens, tees, fairways, and roughs.

Course Setup: Change hole locations, move tee markers, and maintain practice facilities.

Bunker Maintenance: Rake and edge sand traps to ensure playability and aesthetic standards.

Landscaping: String trim around trees, fences, and yardage markers; plant and maintain flower beds.

Equipment Care: Clean and perform basic inspections of machinery after use; report any mechanical issues to the superintendent.

Debris Removal: Ensure the course is clear of fallen branches, leaves, and trash.

Project Support: Assist with sodding, seeding, and irrigation repairs as directed.

Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all club safety protocols.
Requirements:

Experience: Previous landscaping or golf course experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Reliability: Ability to handle early morning start times (often before sunrise).

Team Player: Strong communication skills and a positive attitude while working in a small crew.

Detail Oriented: An eye for “the little things” that make a golf course look professional.

Physical Condition: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Weather Resilience: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, light rain, etc.).
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent is desirable.

Knowledge of turfgrass management or horticulture is an asset.

Valid driver’s license (Required).

FOOD AND BEVERAGE
KITCHEN STAFF
Sunset Ridge Golf Club (Marcellus, NY) is seeking a hardworking, dedicated, team-orientated kitchen staff member for the 2025 season. This is a part time position. Pay is $20-25 per hour D.O.E. The selected prep/ line cook will be in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team that would include banquets and catering. Shifts available include M – Fr 5 – 9 pm and Sat/Sun/Holiday 11-4.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Follow the menu created by chef
- Prep ingredients used in cooking such as chop, cut, peel vegetables and meat etc.
- Pre-measure or portion ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
- Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, roasting and baking food etc.
- Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.
- Stock, and restock workstations
- Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas. Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
- Prepare simple dishes such as salads, lunch menu items, entrees etc.
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by helping with washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Experience as prep cook/line cook preferred but willing to train.
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen (Food handler certificate)
- Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
- A team player with good communication skills
- Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
- Good physical condition and endurance- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand for extended periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is desirable
- Training from a culinary school will be an asset
- Food handler certificate (Preferred)
- Some experience as prep cook/line cook a plus

Bartenders/Servers/: Afternoon Hours Monday – Friday, weekends 11-4 and special events
- Bartending draft beer, cans/bottles, wine and mixed drinks
- Waitress – process orders using ipad and charging member accounts accurately w/signature
- Bussing tables
- Food running
- Answer the phone for reservations and food orders
Snack Bar and Beverage Cart: Hours Vary Monday – Friday, weekends 9-4 and special events
- Light Cooking – Hamburgers/Hotdogs on flat top grill
- Light Cleaning of Snack Bar area and/or Beverage Cart
- Stocking and unstocking beverage cart
Qualifications:
- Must be available for entire shift and arrive on time – 2-3 person shift
- No experience necessary
- Must be 18 years of age or older with driver’s license
- Ability to work with clientele that have high expectations for service in a polite and professional manner at all times
Wages: $10.70/hr. plus gratuities (mandatory tip pool)
